Access to and use of the Salud (www.saludthefilm.net) and MEDICC (www.medicc.org) websites (‘MEDICC Sites’) are subject to the Terms and Conditions set forth herein. Any use of MEDICC’s sites constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Copyright Ownership and Permitted Use
Unless otherwise stated, the materials available on MEDICC Sites are the property of MEDICC and protected under United States and international copyright laws and conventions. Except as otherwise provided by United States copyright law, materials from MEDICC Sites may be viewed, reproduced, or stored for personal, noncommercial and educational purposes only.

Trademark Ownership
MEDICC (and logo design), MEDICC Review (and logo design), and ¡Salud! (and logo design) (‘MEDICC Trademarks’) are trademarks of MEDICC. Any use of MEDICC Trademarks in connection with the sale, offering for sale, distribution, advertising of any goods or services, promotion of activities or any other use which is likely to cause confusion, mistake, or to deceive, is strictly prohibited.

Web Site Integrity
Interfering with the operation of MEDICC Sites or circumventing the MEDICC Sites security system is strictly prohibited.

Modifications of Terms and Conditions
MEDICC reserves the right to modify the Terms and Conditions for MEDICC Sites at any time. Any and all modifications will be posted on MEDICC Sites and the continued use of MEDICC Sites after such a posting shall constitute acceptance of the Terms and Conditions as modified.

Web Site Availability
MEDICC makes reasonable efforts to keep MEDICC Sites available at all times. However, due to technical failures, maintenance, or other unforeseen circumstances, availability may be limited and MEDICC will not be responsible for the nonavailability of MEDICC Sites. MEDICC reserves the right to modify, suspend, discontinue, or restrict access to, all or any part of MEDICC Sites at any time.

Disclaimer of Warranties and Liability
Some materials published in MEDICC Review and MEDICC Review Online are the result of research and/or contributions by independent individuals or organizations. MEDICC is not responsible for the accuracy or reliability of any data or conclusions reported in such materials.

MEDICC Sites are intended for educational, research, and reference purposes only.

IRRESPECTIVE OF THE CAUSE OR FORM OF ACTION, THE PUBLISHER’S AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS, LOSSES, OR DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF ANY BREACH OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS SHALL IN NO CIRCUMSTANCES EXCEED THE FEE PAID BY THE LICENSEE TO THE PUBLISHER UNDER THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS IN RESPECT OF THE SUBSCRIPTION PERIOD DURING WHICH SUCH CLAIM, LOSS OR DAMAGE OCCURRED. User-Generated Content
The following provisions apply to user-generated content posted, or submitted for posting, to MEDICC Sites. By posting or submitting content to MEDICC Sites, you agree to the following provisions, which may be amended or modified:

You agree that you are fully responsible for the content that you post or submit. You agree that you will not post or submit any content that (a) is defamatory, obscene, or abusive, (b) violates or infringes upon the proprietary, publicity, or privacy rights of any third party, (c) violates or encourages the violation of any applicable local, state, national, or international law, rule, or regulation, or (d) is otherwise inappropriate. You agree not to post or submit any personal information of another. You will indemnify MEDICC, from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of the content you post or submit. You understand and agree that MEDICC is not responsible for content posted or submitted for posting by third parties.

The editors of MEDICC Sites, in their sole discretion, reserve the right to reject, edit, remove, or otherwise alter any content submitted or posted to MEDICC Sites for any reason.  MEDICC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to revoke a user’s privilege to submit or post content to MEDICC Sites.

You agree that by posting or submitting content to MEDICC Sites, you hereby grant to MEDICC a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide license to use, reproduce, sub-license, modify, display, translate, create derivative works from, and distribute that material, in whole or in part, and incorporate it into other MEDICC publications, in any form, media, or technology now known or that may be developed in the future.  You authorize MEDICC to publish your name and location (city, state and/or country) in connection with any use of your submission to MEDICC Sites and in identifying yourself and location, you represent that you have done so accurately. Once your submission is posted, you will not have the right to have it removed or edited.

You agree to post or submit content to MEDICC Sites only for non-commercial purposes.
Submissions to user-generated content portions of MEDICC Sites must be legible, comprehensible, and written in the English or Spanish language; the latter may be translated.

You agree that you have disclosed any relevant competing interests that, when broadly viewed, could be construed as a conflict of interest or the appearance thereof including, without limitation, financial or beneficial conflicts of interest, employment relationships, and affiliations with other entities or interests.

International Use
MEDICC Sites are controlled and operated within the United States of America.  MEDICC makes no representation that the materials or services available at or through MEDICC Sites are appropriate or available for use outside of the USA.  If you access MEDICC Sites from outside of the USA, you are responsible for compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Choice of Law and Forum
The use of MEDICC Sites, these Terms and Conditions, and all actions contemplated by these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the United States of America and the State of New York as if these Terms and Conditions were an agreement wholly entered into and wholly performed within the State of New York. The exclusive jurisdiction for any claim or action arising from or relating to these Terms and Conditions or the use of MEDICC Sites shall be with the state or federal courts located in the State of New York, USA.

Endorsements
Descriptions of, references to, or links to other products, publications, or services does not imply endorsement of any kind unless expressly stated by MEDICC.

Login Security
Sharing MEDICC Sites login information is strictly prohibited.

Privacy
Registration data and other information about you and your use of MEDICC Sites are subject to the MEDICC Sites Privacy Policy.

Copyright Complaints
MEDICC respects the intellectual property ownership rights of others.  If you believe your work has been reproduced on MEDICC Sites in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please contact review@medicc.org.
