May 6, 2021—The spring 2021 forum focused on the critical role of vaccines and vaccination rollout in curbing the pandemic in the United States and Cuba. Cuban public health and vaccine experts shared experiences on vaccine R&D, the national vaccination plan and the role of primary health care professionals in clinical trials and vaccination. Colleagues from the University of Minnesota shared their state’s experiences thus far in the drive to vaccinate the adult population, as well as the potential role of primary health care in the effort.
